She will also help you plan a simple jacket or top to show off to full advantage the yardage you have created.
Maude has spent many years creating Notan designs with felt and she will share many hints and tricks to help you create unique Nuno felt yardage easily.
Notan is a traditional Japanese design technique involving the use of positive and negative space to create images. The most well known Notan design is the black and white Yin and Yang symbol. Notan are usually made with stencils, but the technique lends itself beautifully to Nuno felting.
The process combines the translucent quality of silk and the opacity of Merino fleece to create wonderful repeating patterns which play with light and dark.
